Where is Arbutus Cove Retreat?
On the oceanfront at 3945 BC-101, Powell River, BC V8A 0C6, on the Salish Sea on BC’s Sunshine Coast.
What suites do you have?
Four suites. Hemlock (upper level), Sitka (upper level) and Cedar (lower level) are oceanfront three-bedroom suites that each sleep 6. Heron is a studio for 2 with a partial ocean view, just behind the oceanfront suites.
Is there beach access?
Yes, every suite has direct beach access. The beach is pebbly and rocky, so bring water shoes if you plan to swim.
Is the hot tub included?
Yes. Our hot tub is filled with fresh salt water from the ocean and is chemical-free, so it’s emptied and refilled weekly. Sessions are booked in advance on our Sauna & Hot Tub page.
Is there a sauna?
Yes, an oceanfront glass-panel sauna, available as an optional add-on. Book it in advance on our Sauna & Hot Tub page.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, in all four suites, for a $60 pet fee. Please keep pets off the furniture and put waste bags in the designated area.
Are children welcome?
Children of all ages are welcome in the Sitka Suite. Hemlock and Cedar suit children 13 and up, and Heron is a studio for 2 adults. The hot tub is adults only.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is any time after 4:00 PM, and check-out is 10:00 AM. Your front door will be unlocked when you arrive, with the key on the entrance table.
Is there a minimum stay?
No, but we recommend staying more than one night to make the most of it.
Where should I buy groceries?
Pick them up in Powell River on your way in: Save-On-Foods, FreshCo and Quality Foods are all good options.
What outdoor spaces can we use?
All guests share the beach area, sunset deck, BBQ pergola and fire pit.
Are there any house rules?
Up to 6 registered guests per suite. No glass in or near the hot tub (plastic cups are provided). Please keep noise down for guests in the suite above or below.
